This is what the Banning track web page had about Caroline:
1. Caroline Sheldon, Caroline holds only two school records and both of those
are in relays. Caroline never won an individual title in league or CIF and
yet she is the female athlete of the 20th Century. The reason is clear when
you look at the records for the school. She is among the five best in the
following events the 200 (4th) the 400 (2nd) the 800 (4th) the 100 hurdles
(2nd) the 300 hurdles (2nd) the high jump (2nd) and the long jump (5th) She
was among the top 5 in 7 of the 13 individual events in which she competed
and is a member of all three of the fastest 4X100 relays and 4 of the fastest
4X400 relays. The teams she was a part of lost 2 league meets in 4 years. In
1997 - 98 Caroline was all league in Cross Country and Soccer and Track and
her relay team won CIF in track. She is one of the finest all around athlete
in Banning history.
