Being nerds, this was a natural

We had plenty of stuff to set up displays on the porch

But since it was all on the porch, it made it really crowded once the trick or treaters came.
The following years we moved displays out onto the lawn.

Battery operated "twitching hand" mounted in a frame
and augmented with hypodermics, wires, and paint
